Now What?

Can you believe the first half of 2025 is almost over?

Back in January, I started the year full of hope and excitement. My word for the year is expectancy. I imagined myself soaring – spiritually, emotionally, and professionally. I had goals. I had vision. I had fire in my soul.

But what I didn’t have was a clue that I’d spend New Year’s Day sick in bed. It should have been a clue, maybe even a warning, that the year wasn’t going to go the way I planned.

If I’m honest, it’s been a slow and bumpy road since then. Nothing catastrophic, but just enough delays, distractions, and disappointments to knock me off my rhythm. I’ve struggled to get back on track more times than I care to admit.

And maybe, just maybe, you can relate.

Maybe your 2025 started with similar excitement and expectation, but now, here you are wondering where the time went and what happened to that confident, purpose-driven version of yourself who was ready to take the year by storm.

But here’s the good news: It’s not too late.

God isn’t finished with 2025, and He certainly isn’t finished with you or me.

What If the Next 6 Months Could Be Different?

What if everything changed because of one decision you make right now?

Not next week.
Not next year.
Not when the timing feels perfect or the money lines up or the motivation kicks in.

Right. Now.

The enemy would love for us to believe it’s too late. That we’ve wasted too much time. That we’ve missed our moment. But the truth is, our God is the Author and Finisher of our faith (Hebrews 12:2), and He knows how to finish a thing in victory, even if the beginning was rocky.

God specializes in fresh starts.

Lamentations 3:22–23 reminds us, “Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for His mercies never fail. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness.”

So, if His mercies are new each morning, then they are certainly new for the second half of the year.

Let that sink in.

What if you approached the next six months with fresh eyes and a renewed heart? What if you believed – truly believed – that God can still redeem what’s been lost and multiply what remains?

Living in Expectancy

I’ve decided I’m not giving up on this year. I’m not throwing in the towel or settling for “maybe next year.”

I’m choosing to live in expectancy. Not because everything is suddenly perfect or the pieces have all fallen into place, but because I know the One who holds the pieces. I know the One who is ordering my steps, even when the path feels unfamiliar.

“The steps of a good [woman] are ordered by the Lord: and He delights in [her] way.” (Psalm 37:23)

I’m choosing to trust that God has not wasted anything – not the sick days, the off-track plans, the missed goals, or the slowed progress. He’s using all of it.

Romans 8:28 is still true: “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose.”

That includes the first half of 2025.

And it includes you.

A Mid-Year Reset

So, here’s the invitation, my friend: take a deep breath, fix your eyes on Jesus, and ask yourself:

What if the rest of 2025 could look completely different because of what I choose today?

You get to choose to believe again.
You get to choose to show up again.
You get to choose to hope again.

You don’t need to wait for another New Year’s Day. This moment, right here, is a fresh start. A holy reset. An open door.

Ask God to show you what needs to be released, and what needs to be reclaimed. Ask Him to reignite the dreams you buried under disappointment.

And then walk forward in faith, not with fear, but with expectancy.Because the truth is, we serve a God who still does the miraculous. And He just might be waiting for you to say “yes” again.
