Have you ever looked around at your life and wondered, How did I get here? You’ve given your all – poured yourself into relationships that left you broken, worked tirelessly at a job that feels like a dead end, or served at church until you were exhausted, only to realize you’ve neglected your home and personal life.
Meanwhile, others, some who don’t even acknowledge God, seem to live happy, fulfilling lives. And here you are, trying to do everything right, but feeling like all you have to show for it is loss after loss.
If this resonates with you, you’re not alone. Many Christian women feel stuck in a cycle of defeat, longing to see God’s promises manifest in their lives.
If you are wondering if you’re this woman, here are some things to look for:
- She’s the woman who shows up for everyone else but often feels invisible herself.
- She’s the friend who’s always there for others but feels overlooked when she needs help.
- She’s the faithful servant who pours herself into her church and family but feels like she’s running on empty.
- She’s the woman of faith who believes God has a plan but feels stuck in a cycle of loss and disappointment.
This woman prays – oh, how she prays. She reads devotionals, attends Bible studies, and tries harder, hoping that more effort will lead to a breakthrough. But despite her best intentions, nothing seems to change. She’s left feeling drained, discouraged, and defeated, wondering, Where is the victory God promised?
What Is Her Problem?
The problem isn’t a lack of faith or effort – it’s a lack of strategy. She’s fighting battles she was never meant to face alone, striving instead of thriving. The Bible tells us, “For we are members of one body” (1 Corinthians 12:27), yet many Christian women carry their burdens in isolation, believing that asking for help is a sign of weakness.
Her struggle is not about spirituality – it’s about alignment. She’s giving from an empty cup, overextending herself, and lacking the support needed to see victory in her life. God doesn’t want her to live in perpetual loss; He desires her to walk in purpose, peace, and triumph.
How to See More Victory in Your Life
If you are that woman, the path to victory starts with a shift in your perspective and a willingness to embrace new strategies. Here are five steps to help you move from a place of loss to a place of victory:
1. Redefine Victory
Victory isn’t about avoiding struggles or achieving perfection. It’s about walking in alignment with God’s purpose, calling, and assignment for your life. Romans 8:28 reminds us, “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” Your current challenges are not the end of your story; they are stepping stones to the next chapter.
2. Set Healthy Boundaries
Sometimes, the losses we experience come from overextending ourselves. Even Jesus set boundaries, often withdrawing to rest and pray. You don’t have to say yes to every request or carry every burden. Ask God where He wants you to focus your energy, and give yourself permission to say no to what doesn’t align with His plan.
3. Seek Wisdom and Support
Proverbs 11:14 tells us, “Where there is no counsel, the people fall; but in the multitude of counselors there is safety.” Surround yourself with people who can speak life and wisdom into your situation – whether that’s trusted friends, mentors, or a life coach. Don’t try to navigate this journey alone.
4. Take Practical Steps of Faith
Faith without works is dead. Start small by taking one step toward the change you desire. Whether it’s prioritizing your health, setting a boundary, or dedicating time to a God-given dream, every action is a declaration of faith. Remember, even small steps lead to big victories over time.
5. Recognize the Power of Coaching
Sometimes, what you need is a partner to walk alongside you. A life coach can provide clarity, accountability, and encouragement as you navigate life’s challenges. Coaching isn’t a substitute for faith – it’s a tool God can use to help you steward your gifts and resources effectively. I can help with that. Why Coaching Could Be the Missing Piece
Jesus often sent His disciples out in pairs, never expecting them to carry the weight of their calling alone. Similarly, a life coach can be the partner you need in this season. Coaching provides a safe space to dream again, uncover opportunities, and take bold steps toward the victory God has already prepared for you.
Hope for the Journey Ahead
Your life is not defined by the losses you’ve experienced but by the God who is working through them. Psalm 30:11 declares, “You have turned for me my mourning into dancing; You have put off my sackcloth and clothed me with gladness.” That same God is working in your life, right now.
It’s time to stop striving and start thriving. Stop carrying burdens that aren’t yours to bear, and step into the freedom and victory that Jesus died to give you. You are worth the investment – of time, energy, and support – to become the woman God created you to be.
